I’m Stephen McCloud, a 37-year-old resident of SEQ. In late 2014, I was introduced to the captivating sport of Disc Golf by a close friend. My first round at Felberg Park on Hyde Road in Yeronga, Queensland, was an enthralling experience that instantly hooked me, leading to my active involvement in League days and PDGA Tournaments from 2015 onward.
After several years of dedicated play, an unfortunate incident resulted in permanent nerve damage to my throwing hand's thumb, hindering my ability to participate. Despite this setback, my passion for the game has prevailed, and I have been gradually returning to play in recent years.
Each time I step onto the course, I am driven by the desire to surpass my previous performance. I cherish this game, and I’m focused on improving and becoming the best player I can be.
It is with great enthusiasm that I share news of joining the Kingfisher Disc Golf Team for the upcoming 2024 season. This exceptional team boasts talent across all divisions, and I eagerly anticipate the challenges and successes that 2024 holds for us.
I look forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts on the course and sharing the joys of Disc Golf in the coming year.
